On June 12, 1974 a Japanese Major League Baseball left fielder that plays for the New York Yankess was born. Hideki Matsui bats left handed but throws right handed.
Matsui was famous for his nickname “Godzilla” because of his much coarse and pockmarked facial complexion as it is in his hitting power.He has been playing baseball since elementary. He is also involved in four National High School Baseball Tournaments at Koshien Stadium during his high school years. After high school Matsui was drafted by the Yomuiri Giants in Tokyo.
