About Herm Gilliam:
Herm Gilliam (full name: Herman L. Gilliam Jr.; Herm) played Guard-Forward from 1970 until 1977 for the Cincinnati Royals, Buffalo Braves, Atlanta Hawks, Seattle Supersonics and Portland Trail Blazers. Over 8 seasons, he played 578 games, scored 6252 points (10.8 ppg) and grabbed 2175 rebounds (3.8 rpg). Gilliam also dished out 2225 assists (3.8 apg), made 369 steals (0.6 spg), and blocked 49 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on May 5, 1946, Gilliam stood 6-3 and weighed 190 lbs. He attended high school at Atkins in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and college at Purdue University. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Royals in the 1st round (8th pick, 8th overall) of the 1969 NBA draft.
