Herb Pennock (full name: Herbert Jefferis Pennock; The Knight Of Kennett Square) played pitcher from 1929 until 1934 for the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Yankees from 1929 - 1933 and Red Sox in 1934. Over 22 seasons, he started 419 games, won 241 games, struck out 1227 batters, and had a 3.60 ERA. Born on February 10, 1894 in Kennett Square, PA, Pennock stood 6' 0" and weighed 160 lb. He attended Cedarcroft Boarding School (Kennett Square, PA) high school.
