Herb Pennock (full name: Herbert Jefferis Pennock; The Knight Of Kennett Square) played pitcher from 1929 until 1934 for the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox. He played for the Yankees from 1929 - 1933 and Red Sox in 1934. Over 22 seasons, he started 419 games, won 241 games, struck out 1227 batters, and had a 3.60 ERA. Born on February 10, 1894 in Kennett Square, PA, Pennock stood 6' 0" and weighed 160 lb. He attended Cedarcroft Boarding School (Kennett Square, PA) high school. His debut was on May 14, 1912 and he played his final game on August 27, 1934. Over his career, Pennock made $52,500.
