Henri Richard is a retired National Hockey League player who hails from Montreal, Quebec. He played as a center for the Montreal Canadiens and was nicknamed as “The Pocket-Rocket”. He was the only National Hockey League player of his time to have bagged eleven Stanley Cups and eleven championships in the league. He spent his entire season with the Canadiens and was named to the All-Star team in 1958. He was also included in the All-Star second team in the 1959 season. In his entire career in the National Hockey League, he was able to log 358 goals and 688 assists. He was able to appear in 1, 256 regular games until the 1975 season which was his last in the league.

In 1961, Richard was assigned as the captain of the Montreal Canadiens and his jersey number 16 was retired in 1975. He was named to the Hockey Hall of Fame in the 1979 season and was included in the 100 Greatest Hockey Players list of The Hockey News.

At present, Richard works as the ambassador of the Montreal Canadiens organization. His brother, Maurice Rocket is also a famous hockey player.
