He attended Nova (Davie, FL) high school and was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 6th round of the 1976 amateur draft (January Secondary). His debut was on September 7, 1978 and he played his final game on June 13, 1980. Common misspellings of his name include Harry hal Harry Perry Chappas.
