Hank Wyse (full name: Henry Washington Wyse; Hooks) played pitcher from 1942 until 1951 for the Chicago Cubs, Philadelphia Athletics and Washington Senators. He played for the Cubs from 1942 - 1947, Athletics from 1950 - 1951 and Senators in 1951. Over 8 seasons, he started 159 games, won 79 games, struck out 362 batters, and had a 3.52 ERA. Born on March 1, 1918 in Lunsford, AR, Wyse stood 5' 11" and weighed 185 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 7, 1942 and he played his final game on June 14, 1951.
