Hal McRae (full name: Harold Abraham McRae; no nicknames) played designated hitter and leftfielder from 1968 until 1987 for the Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals. He played for the Reds from 1968 - 1972 and Royals from 1973 - 1987. Over 19 seasons, he played 2084 games, hit 191 home runs, drove in 940 runs, and stole 109 bases. Born on July 10, 1945 in Avon Park, FL, McRae stands 5' 11" and weighs 180 lb. He attended Douglas (Sebring, FL) high school and was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 6th round of the 1965 amateur draft. His debut was on July 11, 1968 and he played his final game on July 17, 1987. Over his career, McRae made $2,928,500.
