He played for the Giants from 1964 - 1971 and Yankees from 1972 - 1973. Over 10 seasons, he played 1196 games, hit 8 home runs, drove in 297 runs, and stole 11 bases. Born on July 4, 1942 in Denton, NC, Lanier stands 6' 2" and weighs 180 lb. He attended Boca Ciega (St. Petersburg, FL) high school.
