Hakim Warrick, nicknamed "Helicopter," is an American professional basketball player and is currently playing as forward with the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and took his college education when he attended the Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. Before joining the Suns, Warrick played as forward for several teams in the National Basketball Association; the Memphis Grizzlies, Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls.
Warrick is 6 ft. 9 in. and 219 lbs. He began his professional basketball career after he was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2005 NBA Draft where he was a first round pick of the team. During his rookie season, Warrick appeared in sixty eight games, starting two of them, and averaged 4.1 points in 10.6 minutes every game playing behind Pau Gasol. Warrick finished the playoff series during his rookie season having an average of 6.7 points and 2.3 rebounds every game.
On December 2006, Warrick recorded a career high of 31 points and 13 rebounds against the Milwaukee Bucks. Warrick signed a deal on July 2009 with the Bucks where he was then dealt on February of next year along with Joe Alexander in exchange for John Salmons, to the Chicago Bulls. And on July 2010, Warrick signed with the Phoenix Suns for a 4 year contract.
