Born on April 24, 1923 and died on July 1, 2005, Gus Bodnar was a Canadian professional ice hockey centre in the National Hockey League (NHL). Gus Bodnar (full name: Gus Bodnar; no nicknames) played center from 1951 until 1955 for the Chicago Black Hawks and Boston Bruins. He played for the Black Hawks from 1951 - 1954 and Bruins from 1954 - 1955. Over 12 seasons, he played 667 games, scored 142 goals, and made 254 assists. Born in Fort William, Ontario on April 24, 1923, Bodnar stood 5-11 and weighed 160 lbs.
