Also known as Greg Vaughn, Gregory Lamont Vaughn is a designated hitter and a left-fielder who is from Sacramento, California. He finished his secondary education in Kennedy High School and is the cousin of the popular Mo Vaughn, also known in the field of baseball. He has also experienced playing at the University of Miami. He had five teams, one of which is the Milwaukee Brewers in Wisconsin. He was playing with them from 1989 to 1996. Then he played with the San Diego Padres until 1998. He also played with the Cincinnati Reds after a year; then with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays from 2000 to 2002. In 2003, his latest team became the Colorado Rockies.
Like his cousin, he was given awards and recognitions because of his excellence in baseball. He was selected in the All-star selection not just once but for four times in years 1993, 1996, 1998 and 2001. He was also awarded the Silver Slugger Award in the year 1998. Within the same year, he was recognized the National League Comeback Player of the Year. In 2009, he is entitled to the Hall of Fame of national Baseball but was not voted.
