Greg Polis (full name: Greg Polis; no nicknames) played left wing from 1971 until 1980 for the Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers and Washington Capitals. He played for the Penguins from 1971 - 1974, Blues in 1974, Rangers from 1975 - 1979 and Capitals from 1979 - 1980. Over 10 seasons, he played 615 games, scored 174 goals, and made 169 assists. Born in Westlock, Alberta on August 8, 1950, Polis stands 6-0 and weighs 195 lbs. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1st round (7th overall) of the 1970 NHL Amateur Draft.
