Greg Grant is a retired professional basketball player. He was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey and was discovered in a playground within the area. He decided to enroll in the Trenton State College. Grant played for the university’s basketball team. He was the leader in points during the 1989 Division III.
He decided to enter the 1989 NBA Draft and was picked during the second round by the Phoenix Suns. After playing for just one season with the Suns, Grant was released and became a free agent. He decided to sign with the New York Knickerbockers in 1990 and then with the Indiana Hornets in 1991.
Grant was waived by the Hornets in 1991 and was signed by the Philadelphia 76ers later that year. He continued to play for the 76ers until 1993. After taking a short break from playing, Grant was signed by the Orlando Magic for short period in 1994. Grant was also signed by the Denver Nuggets, Philadelphia 76ers and then the Washington Bullets.
Currently, Grant is running his own sports academy in Trenton. His league and its clothing line goes by the name of “94 Feet”. He is also an instructor in different basketball clinics and is in the process of publishing his autobiography.

Greg Grant (full name: Gregory Alan Grant; Greg, Waterbug) played Guard from 1990 until 1996 for the Phoenix Suns, New York Knickerbockers, Charlotte Hornets, Philadelphia 76ers, Denver Nuggets and Washington Bullets. Over 6 seasons, he played 274 games, scored 767 points (2.8 ppg) and grabbed 248 rebounds (0.9 rpg). Grant also dished out 751 assists (2.7 apg), made 161 steals (0.6 spg), and blocked 8 shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Trenton, New Jersey on August 29, 1966, Grant stands 5-7 and weighs 140 lbs. He attended high school at Central in Trenton, New Jersey and college at Trenton State University. He was drafted by the Phoenix Suns in the 2nd round (25th pick, 52nd overall) of the 1989 NBA draft.
