Greg Foster is a retired professional basketball player. He became active in the NBA from 1990 to 2003. Before deciding to try his luck as a professional, Foster first enrolled in the UCLA. He played collegiate basketball for the university’s varsity team, the Bruins. However, he decided to transfer to the UTEP after his sophomore year in the UCLA. He was able to play with Tim Hardaway and Antonio Davis while playing collegiate basketball in UTEP. Together with the soon-to-be NBA stars, he helped the Miners clinch two WAC titles. By the end of his stay in UTEP, he was making an average of 15 points and 6.3 rebounds for each game.
During the 1990 NBA Draft, Foster was selected by the Washington Bullets during the second round of the draft. He was the 35th overall pick. Throughout his entire career in the NBA, Foster would be able to reach the NBA three times. He would play in the finals with the Utah Jazz in two occasions and then with the Lakers in the 2000-01 NBA finals where the franchise became the season’s champions. Other than those teams, Foster also played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, Seattle Supersonics, and the Toronto Raptors.

Greg Foster (full name: Gregory Clinton Foster; Greg) played Forward-Center from 1991 until 2003 for the Washington Bullets, Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz, Seattle Supersonics, Los Angeles Lakers and Toronto Raptors. Over 13 seasons, he played 656 games, scored 2538 points (3.9 ppg) and grabbed 1691 rebounds (2.6 rpg). Foster also dished out 351 assists (0.5 apg), made 94 steals (0.1 spg), and blocked 194 shots (0.3 bpg) during his career. Born in Oakland, California on October 3, 1968, Foster stands 6-11 and weighs 240 lbs. He attended high school at Skyline in Oakland, California and college at University of Texas at El Paso. He was drafted by the Washington Bullets in the 2nd round (8th pick, 35th overall) of the 1990 NBA draft.
