An alumna of Cascade High School in Everett, Washington, Sizemore is a noted high school star in football, basketball, and baseball and had signed a letter of intent to play football and baseball at the University of Washington. During his college year, the Expos selected him during the third round of the 2000 draft. The team then offered him a $2 million signing bonus to lure him away from college, and Sizemore signed and began his rapid career to the big leagues.
In 2005, he quickly established himself as one of baseball’s up and coming stars in center field making the Grady Sizemore game used bat a significant piece. He then became the only player in Cleveland Indians history after
Roberto Alomar to record 20 doubles, 10 triples, 20 home runs and 20 SB in the same season. Before the beginning of the 2006 season, he signed a 6-year contract with the Indians with a club option for 2012. And in 2006, Sizemore was selected to his first All-Star Game as a reserve outfielder. He also had a very fine center field making awesome plays in center, left-center, and right-centerfield. Sizemore then became one of two players in Major League Baseball history to have 50 doubles, 10 triples, 25 home runs, and 20 stolen bases in one season (2006). Thus, it made the Grady Sizemore game used bat a cool item to collect.
