Gordon Slade (full name: Gordon Leigh Slade; Oskie) played shortstop, second baseman and third baseman from 1932 until 1935 for the Brooklyn Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds. He played for the Dodgers in 1932, Cardinals in 1933 and Reds from 1934 - 1935. Over 6 seasons, he played 437 games, hit 8 home runs, drove in 147 runs, and stole 12 bases. Born on October 9, 1904 in Salt Lake City, UT, Slade stood 5' 10" and weighed 160 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 21, 1930 and he played his final game on September 10, 1935.
