Golden Richards is a retired National Football League player who hails from Salt Lake City, Utah. He served as a wide receiver for two teams in the league. He had his college football experience at Brigham Young University and has caught the attention of many professional football scouts for his great skills as a wide receiver. He also played for the University of Hawaii where he spent a few years of his college career. After college, he tried out in the National Football League Draft in 1973 and was chosen by the Dallas Cowboys to be part of their team. He had his first season as a pro in the 193 season and from then on, had made significant contributions for the team. He was part of the Dallas Cowboys great game in the Super Bowl X where he played as a starter. He also made a mark in the team’s Super Bowl XII game when he caught a touchdown pass.
After his stellar career with the Cowboys, he joined the Chicago Bears which he signed in 1978. He had one season with the team which he left in 1979.

Golden Richards (fullname: John Golden Richards; no nicknames) played from 1973 until 1979 for the Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Bears. He played 86 games, starting 23 of those. Born in Salt Lake City, UT on December 31, 1950, Richards stands 6'1 and weighs 181 lbs. He attended college at BYU, Hawaii. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2nd round (46th overall) of the 1973 NFL Draft.
