About Gerald Wallace Memorabilia & Collectibles

Nicknamed “Crash”, Gerald Jermaine Wallace plays forward for the Charlotte Bobcats in the National Basketball Association. He stands six feet 7 inches and hails from Sylacauga, Alabama and was born on July 23, 1982.

Wallace’s high school and college basketball career were lined with success. When he was a senior in Childersburg High School, he won the Naismith Player of the Year award. This award is given to the best high school basketball player. In college, he went to the University of Alabama and then entered himself in the 2001 NBA draft.

His first team in the league was the Sacramento Kings. Though he rarely appeared in games with them, Wallace became famous for being an all- around player and a remarkable athlete. He became runner up to Jason Richardson in the 2002 Slam Dunk contest.

He then went to play for the Charlotte Bobcats where he proved to be an effective defensive player. Only David Robinson and Hakeem Olajuwon averaged more than 2 blocks and 2 steals per game in the NBA history aside from Wallace. His playing style was known to be reckless and thus resulting to numerous injuries. He tried to refine his style to avoid injuries in 2005 but his numbers dropped. While his performance improved, he still suffered with separated shoulder in a game against the Indiana Pacers. He took an unintentional elbow in the face from Sacramento Kings’ Mikki Moore and suffered a grade 3 concussion in 2008. He recovered and later on returned to score career highs towards the end of the season. In a game against the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009, he suffered from a partially collapsed lung from a flagrant foul by Andrew Bynum. He was shortly named Bobcats captain and made it to the NBA All- Star team and the USA Basketball Men’s National Team that competed in the 2010 FIBA World Championships.

Be modish when going to the hard court to watch Gerald “Crash” Wallace and wear NBA apparel, NBA jewelry, watches, and accessories, NBA hats, caps, and visors and autographed NBA jerseys. Be in full fan spirit and wave those framed NBA photos, plaques, and collages, NBA bobbleheads and figures, NBA trading cards and tickets, and other autographed game used items.
