George Strickland (full name: George Bevan Strickland; Bo) played shortstop, second baseman and third baseman from 1950 until 1960 for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Pirates from 1950 - 1952 and Indians from 1952 - 1960. Over 10 seasons, he played 971 games, hit 36 home runs, drove in 305 runs, and stole 12 bases. Born on January 10, 1926 in New Orleans, LA, Strickland stood 6' 1" and weighed 175 lb. He attended S.J. Peters (New Orleans, LA) high school.
