George McGinnis (full name: George F. McGinnis; no nicknames) played Forward-Center from 1972 until 1982 for the Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets. Over 11 seasons, he played 842 games, scored 17009 points (20.2 ppg) and grabbed 9233 rebounds (11.0 rpg). McGinnis also dished out 3089 assists (3.7 apg), made 1448 steals (1.7 spg), and blocked 332 shots (0.4 bpg) during his career. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 12, 1950, McGinnis stands 6-8 and weighs 235 lbs. He attended high school at George Washington in Indianapolis, Indiana and college at Indiana University. He was drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2nd round (4th pick, 22nd overall) of the 1973 NBA draft.
