About George Karl:
George Karl (full name: George Matthew Karl; no nicknames) played Guard from 1974 until 1978 for the San Antonio Spurs. Over 5 seasons, he played 264 games, scored 1703 points (6.5 ppg) and grabbed 369 rebounds (1.4 rpg). Karl also dished out 795 assists (3.0 apg), made 232 steals (0.9 spg), and blocked 20 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania on May 12, 1951, Karl stands 6-2 and weighs 185 lbs. He attended high school at Penn Hills in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania and college at University of North Carolina. He was drafted by the New York Knickerbockers in the 4th round (14th pick, 66th overall) of the 1973 NBA draft.
