George Johnson (full name: George Lee Johnson; no nicknames) played Forward-Center from 1979 until 1986 for the Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Bullets. Over 8 seasons, he played 464 games, scored 4214 points (9.1 ppg) and grabbed 2610 rebounds (5.6 rpg). Johnson also dished out 817 assists (1.8 apg), made 432 steals (0.9 spg), and blocked 282 shots (0.6 bpg) during his career. Born in Brooklyn, New York on December 8, 1956, Johnson stands 6-7 and weighs 210 lbs. He attended high school at New Utrecht in Brooklyn, New York and college at St. John's University. He was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1st round (12th pick, 12th overall) of the 1978 NBA draft.
