George Washington Case of Trenton, New Jersey, is a baseball outfielder of the Major League Baseball.  He started his major league career with the Washington Senators in the year 1937. He is considered the fastest player in the 1920s and led five stolen bases consecutively in the major league. He tied with Ty Cobbs in the American League which was later on smashed by Luis Aparicio. He was traded for Jeff Heath in 1945 to the Cleveland Indians from the Senators. On the 4th of March 1947, he was traded for Roger Wolff back to the Washington Senators where he played most of his baseball career.
 
This four time All-Star player has posted a batting average of .282, with 1, 415 hits and 349 stolen bases. He opened a sports store upon his retirement. He has also engaged in coaching the expansion team of the Senators and an instructor in the minor league for the New York Yankees and the Seattle Mariners. He died at the age of 72 and suffered emphysema.

George Case (full name: George Washington Case; no nicknames) played outfielder from 1937 until 1947 for the Washington Senators and Cleveland Indians. He played for the Senators from 1937 - 1947 and Indians in 1946. Over 11 seasons, he played 1226 games, hit 21 home runs, drove in 785 runs, and stole 349 bases. Born on November 11, 1915 in Trenton, NJ, Case stood 6' 0" and weighed 183 lb. He attended The Peddie School (Hightstown, NJ) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on September 8, 1937 and he played his final game on August 3, 1947. Common misspellings of his name include George gearge George goerge Washington Case casey.
