George Carter (full name: George Carter; Dirty Dingus) played Forward-Guard from 1968 until 1976 for the Detroit Pistons, Washington Capitols, Virginia Squires, Pittsburgh Condors, New York Nets, Memphis Sounds and Utah Stars. Over 8 seasons, he played 479 games, scored 8683 points (18.1 ppg) and grabbed 3243 rebounds (6.8 rpg). Carter also dished out 959 assists (2.0 apg), made 164 steals (0.3 spg), and blocked 48 shots (0.1 bpg) during his career. Born in Buffalo, New York on January 10, 1944, Carter stands 6-4 and weighs 210 lbs. He attended college at St. Bonaventure University. He was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the 8th round (2nd pick, 81st overall) of the 1967 NBA draft.
