Gene Desautels (full name: Eugene Abraham Desautels; Red) played catcher from 1931 until 1946 for the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Athletics. He played for the Tigers from 1931 - 1933, Red Sox from 1937 - 1940, Indians from 1941 - 1945 and Athletics in 1946. Over 13 seasons, he played 712 games, hit 3 home runs, drove in 211 runs, and stole 12 bases. Born on June 13, 1907 in Worcester, MA, Desautels stood 5' 11" and weighed 170 lb.
