Gene Carr (full name: Gene Carr; no nicknames) played center from 1972 until 1979 for the St. Louis Blues, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins and Atlanta Flames. He played for the Blues in 1972, Rangers from 1972 - 1974, Kings from 1974 - 1978, Penguins in 1978 and Flames in 1979. Over 8 seasons, he played 465 games, scored 79 goals, and made 136 assists. Born in Nanaimo, British Columbia on September 17, 1951, Carr stands 5-11 and weighs 185 lbs. He was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 1st round (4th overall) of the 1971 NHL Amateur Draft.
