Gene Bearden (full name: Henry Eugene Bearden; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1947 until 1953 for the Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators, Detroit Tigers, St. Louis Browns and Chicago White Sox. He played for the Indians from 1947 - 1950, Senators from 1950 - 1951, Tigers in 1951, Browns in 1952 and White Sox in 1953. Over 7 seasons, he started 84 games, won 45 games, struck out 259 batters, and had a 3.96 ERA. Born on September 5, 1920 in Lexa, AR, Bearden stood 6' 3" and weighed 198 lb. He attended high school.
