About Gary Suter:
Gary Suter (full name: Gary Suter; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1986 until 2002 for the Calgary Flames, Chicago Blackhawks and San Jose Sharks. He played for the Flames from 1986 - 1994, Blackhawks from 1994 - 1998 and Sharks from 1999 - 2002. Over 17 seasons, he played 1145 games, scored 203 goals, and made 641 assists. Born in Madison, Wisconsin on June 24, 1964, Suter stands 6-0 and weighs 215 lbs. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames in the 9th round (180th overall) of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. Suter officially announced retirement on September 10, 2002.
