Formerly affiliated with the National Football League, Gary C. Clark hails from Redford, Virginia and was born on May 1, 1962. He had been with a couple of teams in the league positioned as a wide receiver. During his course of career, he was able to set a record of 699 receptions, receiving average of 15.5, receiving yards of 10, 856, as well as 65 touchdowns. Clark had his early beginnings at James Madison University located in Harrisburg. Before getting into a playing stint in the NFL, he first tried in the United States Football League where he contributed into the success of Jacksonville Bulls.
In 1984, he was chosen by the
Washington Redskins to be part of the team. With his great performances on the field as well as his inspiring passion in his craft, he was able to get everyone’s attentions including that of a famous sports commentator named
John Madden. He had been well noted to have led the Redskins to several wins. One instance of which when he directed the group to glorious victory, was in a game versus the Chicago Bears. After working with the Redskins, he moved to the Phoenix or
Arizona Cardinals and then proceeded to work with the Miami Dolphins. In 2007, he was named as the newest member of the Hall of Fame of Virginia Sports.
