Garth Butcher (full name: Garth Butcher; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1982 until 1995 for the Vancouver Canucks, St. Louis Blues, Quebec Nordiques and Toronto Maple Leafs. He played for the Canucks from 1982 - 1991, Blues from 1991 - 1994, Nordiques in 1994 and Leafs in 1995. Over 14 seasons, he played 897 games, scored 48 goals, and made 158 assists. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan on January 8, 1963, Butcher stands 6-0 and weighs 204 lbs. He was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the 1st round (10th overall) of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft.
