Starting pitcher in Major League Baseball, Freddy Garcia plays for the Philadelphia Phillies. He was born on June 10, 1976 in Caracas, Venezuela.
He started his major league career with the well-known team Seattle Mariners in 1999 and he was then traded to the White Sox in the 2004 season. Garcia is a famous player who bats and throws right handed. It was in 1993 when he was signed by the Houston Astros as a non-draft amateur free agent. In 1998, he was acquired by Seattle together with Carlos Guillen and John Halama and Randy Johnson was then sent to the Astros.
