Fred Hatfield (full name: Fred James Hatfield; no nicknames) played third baseman, second baseman and shortstop from 1950 until 1958 for the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Redlegs. He played for the Red Sox from 1950 - 1952, Tigers from 1952 - 1956, White Sox from 1956 - 1957, Indians in 1958 and Redlegs in 1958. Over 9 seasons, he played 722 games, hit 25 home runs, drove in 259 runs, and stole 15 bases. Born on March 18, 1925 in Lanett, AL, Hatfield stood 6' 1" and weighed 171 lb. He attended high school.
