Frantisek Kucera (full name: Frantisek Kucera; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1991 until 2002 for the Chicago Blackhawks, Hartford Whalers, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Columbus Blue Jackets, Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals. He played for the Blackhawks from 1991 - 1994, Whalers from 1994 - 1996, Canucks from 1996 - 1997, Flyers in 1997, Blue Jackets in 2001, Penguins in 2001 and Capitals in 2002. Over 9 seasons, he played 465 games, scored 24 goals, and made 95 assists. Born in Prague, Czechoslovakia on February 3, 1968, Kucera stands 6-2 and weighs 205 lbs. He was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 4th round (77th overall) of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft.
