Franklyn Miguel German Made was born on January 20, 1980 in San Cristobal Dominican Republic. Currently a free agent, he stands 6 ft. 7 in. tall and weighs 298 lbs. Considered as a huge man for a pitcher, he possesses the so-called batter intimidation which makes him very effective.  

 

He was drafted by the Detroit Tigers on 2002, when a three-team trading between the Tigers, Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees was done. For a period of time, he was infamous with Detroit fans because he always get battered out. Reviews say he was only able to please the fans when he spent the 2004 season on the Detroit Tigers minor league team, the Toledo Mud Hens, and helped the Tigers bloom on the first day of the 2005 season. 

 

German attended a training in 2006 where he was left unguarded on the waive wire. He was then designated to Toledo while his waivers were still unclear. Because of this, the team Florida Marlinsclaimed German on April 4, 2006 and gave him a spot on the roster of the opening day of the 2006 season. After that season, he became a free agent and was soon signed by the Texas Rangers for a minor league contract. He pitched for the team in 2008 season against Seattle Mariners. Reviews consider this as the fist time he had pitched outside the minors since 2006. In 2008, he also became part of the teams Pittsburgh Pirates and Chicago White Sox before he became a free agent again.
