Erv Palica (full name: Ervin Martin Palica; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1945 until 1956 for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Baltimore Orioles. He played for the Dodgers from 1945 - 1954 and Orioles from 1955 - 1956. Over 9 seasons, he started 80 games, won 41 games, struck out 423 batters, and had a 4.22 ERA. Born on February 9, 1928 in Lomita, CA, Palica stood 6' 1" and weighed 180 lb. He attended Narbonne (Harbor City, CA) high school.
