He played for the Reds from 1932 - 1941, Braves in 1942 and Giants from 1943 - 1947. Over 17 seasons, he played 1853 games, hit 190 home runs, drove in 601 runs, and stole 8 bases. Born on April 6, 1908 in Oakland, CA, Lombardi stood 6' 3" and weighed 230 lb. He attended McClymonds (Oakland, CA) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on April 15, 1931 and he played his final game on September 17, 1947. Over his career, Lombardi made $76,000.
