Enos Slaughter Memorabilia & Collectibles

Born on April 27, 1916 in Roxboro, North Carolina, Enos Slaughter was an American right fielder in the Major League Baseball. He had played for the Cardinals and New York Yankees. His real name is Enos Bradsher Slaughter. In 1938, he had joined the Cardinals before he was traded and stayed with the New York Yankees in 1954.

 

Slaughter was able to play 22 seasons with the Cardinals, Yankees, Kansas City Athletics, and Milwaukee Braves.       It was in 1946 when he was able to lead the National League with a powerful 130 runs batted in and had led the Cardinals to a World Series win against the Boston Red Sox. He had made a famous “Mad Dash” for home from first base on Harry Walker’s base hit during the eighth inning of game seven of that series with two incredible outs and then the game tied with 3-3 leading to the recognition of Enos Slaughter signed MLB baseball. Slaughter is famous for hustle especially for being able to run hard to first base on walks. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1985.

 

Slaughter had powerfully accomplished a .300 batting average for 19 seasons. All throughout his career, he was able to finish 2,383 hits with 169 incredible home runs, and 1,304 runs batted in all in 2,380 games. In his 1,751 games, Slaughter ranked third in Cardinals history after Lou Brock and Stan Musial making the Enos Slaughter signed MLB baseball a treasured item. He is also famous as a player who bats left-handed and throws with his right hand.
