He played for the Cardinals from 1944 - 1946, Phillies from 1946 - 1948, Cubs from 1948 - 1950 and Braves in 1950. Over 7 seasons, he played 853 games, hit 1 home runs, drove in 301 runs, and stole 21 bases. Born on August 27, 1915 in Lincoln, IL, Verban stood 5' 11" and weighed 165 lb. He attended high school.
