Elmer Singleton (full name: Bert Elmer Singleton; Smoky) played pitcher from 1945 until 1959 for the Boston Braves, Pittsburgh Pirates, Washington Senators and Chicago Cubs. He played for the Braves from 1945 - 1946, Pirates from 1947 - 1948, Senators in 1950 and Cubs from 1957 - 1959. Over 8 seasons, he started 19 games, won 11 games, struck out 160 batters, and had a 4.83 ERA. Born on June 26, 1918 in Ogden, UT, Singleton stood 6' 2" and weighed 174 lb. He attended high school.
