Ellis Valentine (full name: Ellis Clarence Valentine; no nicknames) played rightfielder from 1975 until 1985 for the Montreal Expos, New York Mets, California Angels and Texas Rangers. He played for the Expos from 1975 - 1981, Mets from 1981 - 1982, Angels in 1983 and Rangers in 1985. Over 10 seasons, he played 894 games, hit 123 home runs, drove in 380 runs, and stole 59 bases. Born on July 30, 1954 in Helena, AR, Valentine stands 6' 4" and weighs 205 lb. He attended Crenshaw (Los Angeles, CA) high school and was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 2nd round of the 1972 amateur draft.
