Ellis Kinder (full name: Ellis Raymond Kinder; Old Folks) played pitcher from 1946 until 1957 for the St. Louis Browns, Boston Red Sox, St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago White Sox. He played for the Browns from 1946 - 1947, Red Sox from 1948 - 1955, Cardinals in 1956 and White Sox from 1956 - 1957. Over 12 seasons, he started 122 games, won 102 games, struck out 749 batters, and had a 3.43 ERA. Born on July 26, 1914 in Atkins, AR (All Transactions), Kinder stood 6' 0" and weighed 195 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on April 30, 1946 and he played his final game on May 8, 1957. Common misspellings of his name include Ellis Old Ellis Folks Raymond Kinder.
