Elgin Baylor (full name: Elgin Gay Baylor; no nicknames) played Forward from 1959 until 1972 for the Minneapolis Lakers and Los Angeles Lakers. Over 14 seasons, he played 846 games, scored 23149 points (27.4 ppg) and grabbed 11463 rebounds (13.5 rpg). Baylor also dished out 3650 assists (4.3 apg), made steals (0.0 spg), and blocked shots (0.0 bpg) during his career. Born in Washington, District of Columbia on September 16, 1934, Baylor stands 6-5 and weighs 225 lbs. He attended high school at Springarn in Washington, District of Columbia and college at Seattle University. He was drafted by the Minneapolis Lakers in the 1st round (1st pick, 1st overall) of the 1958 NBA draft. He was inducted into Hall of Fame as Player in 1977.
