Elden Auker (full name: Elden LeRoy Auker; Submarine and Big Six) played pitcher from 1933 until 1942 for the Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox and St. Louis Browns. He played for the Tigers from 1933 - 1938, Red Sox in 1939 and Browns from 1940 - 1942. Over 10 seasons, he started 261 games, won 130 games, struck out 594 batters, and had a 4.42 ERA. Born on September 21, 1910 in Norcatur, KS, Auker stood 6' 2" and weighed 194 lb. He attended Norcatur (Norcatur, KS) high school. His debut was on August 10, 1933 and he played his final game on September 20, 1942. Common misspellings of his name include Submarine Elden Big Elden Le Six Roy LeRoy eldon Elden Auker.
