Elbie Fletcher (full name: Elburt Preston Fletcher; no nicknames) played first baseman from 1934 until 1949 for the Boston Braves, Boston Bees and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Braves from 1934 - 1949, Bees from 1937 - 1939 and Pirates from 1939 - 1947. Over 12 seasons, he played 1415 games, hit 79 home runs, drove in 723 runs, and stole 32 bases. Born on March 18, 1916 in Milton, MA, Fletcher stood 6' 0" and weighed 180 lb. He attended Milton (Milton, MA) high school.
