Eddie Miksis (full name: Edward Thomas Miksis; no nicknames) played second baseman, outfielder and third baseman from 1944 until 1958 for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Baltimore Orioles, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Redlegs. He played for the Dodgers from 1944 - 1951, Cubs from 1951 - 1956, Orioles from 1957 - 1958, Cardinals in 1957 and Redlegs in 1958. Over 14 seasons, he played 1042 games, hit 44 home runs, drove in 383 runs, and stole 52 bases. Born on September 11, 1926 in Burlington, NJ, Miksis stood 6' 0" and weighed 185 lb. He attended Burlington (Burlington, NJ) high school. His debut was on June 17, 1944 and he played his final game on September 26, 1958.
