Eddie Mayo (full name: Edward Joseph Mayo; Hotshot) played second baseman and third baseman from 1936 until 1948 for the New York Giants, Boston Bees, Philadelphia Athletics and Detroit Tigers. He played for the Giants in 1936, Bees from 1937 - 1938, Athletics in 1943 and Tigers from 1944 - 1948. Over 9 seasons, he played 834 games, hit 26 home runs, drove in 350 runs, and stole 29 bases. Born on April 15, 1910 in Holyoke, MA (All Transactions), Mayo stood 5' 11" and weighed 178 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on May 22, 1936 and he played his final game on October 3, 1948.
