Ed Klieman (full name: Edward Frederick Klieman; Specs and Babe) played pitcher from 1943 until 1950 for the Cleveland Indians, Washington Senators, Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Athletics. He played for the Indians from 1943 - 1948, Senators in 1949, White Sox in 1949 and Athletics in 1950. Over 8 seasons, he started 32 games, won 26 games, struck out 130 batters, and had a 3.49 ERA. Born on March 21, 1918 in Norwood, OH, Klieman stood 6' 1" and weighed 190 lb. He attended high school. His debut was on September 24, 1943 and he played his final game on June 2, 1950. Common misspellings of his name include Edward Ed eddie eddy Edward ep Frederick Specs,Babe Klieman.
