Ed Hospodar (full name: Ed Hospodar; no nicknames) played defenseman from 1980 until 1988 for the New York Rangers, Hartford Whalers, Philadelphia Flyers, Minnesota North Stars and Buffalo Sabres. He played for the Rangers from 1980 - 1982, Whalers from 1983 - 1984, Flyers from 1985 - 1987, North Stars in 1986 and Sabres in 1988. Over 9 seasons, he played 450 games, scored 17 goals, and made 51 assists. Born in Bowling Green, Ohio on February 9, 1959, Hospodar stands 6-2 and weighs 210 lbs. He was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 2nd round (34th overall) of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft.
