About Ed Farmer:

Ed Farmer (full name: Edward Joseph Farmer; no nicknames) played pitcher from 1971 until 1983 for the Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Philadelphia Phillies, Baltimore Orioles, Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox and Oakland Athletics. He played for the Indians from 1971 - 1973, Tigers in 1973, Phillies from 1974 - 1983, Orioles in 1977, Brewers in 1978, Rangers in 1979, White Sox from 1979 - 1981 and Athletics in 1983. Over 11 seasons, he started 21 games, won 30 games, struck out 395 batters, and had a 4.30 ERA. Born on October 18, 1949 in Evergreen Park, IL, Farmer stands 6' 5" and weighs 200 lb. He attended St. Rita (Chicago, IL) high school and was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in the 5th round of the 1967 amateur draft. His debut was on June 9, 1971 and he played his final game on October 2, 1983. Over his career, Farmer made $1,886,499. Common misspellings of his name include Edward Ed eddie eddy Edward ep Joseph Farmer.
