About Ed Brandt:

Ed Brandt (full name: Edward Arthur Brandt; Big Ed) played pitcher from 1932 until 1938 for the Boston Braves, Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Braves from 1932 - 1935, Dodgers in 1936 and Pirates from 1937 - 1938. Over 11 seasons, he started 279 games, won 121 games, struck out 877 batters, and had a 3.86 ERA. Born on February 17, 1905 in Spokane, WA, Brandt stood 6' 1" and weighed 190 lb. He attended Lewis & Clark (Spokane, WA) (All Transactions) high school. His debut was on April 15, 1928 and he played his final game on September 29, 1938. Common misspellings of his name include Big Edward Arthur Ed eddie eddy Edward ep Brandt.
