Ed Brandt (full name: Edward Arthur Brandt; Big Ed) played pitcher from 1932 until 1938 for the Boston Braves, Brooklyn Dodgers and Pittsburgh Pirates. He played for the Braves from 1932 - 1935, Dodgers in 1936 and Pirates from 1937 - 1938. Over 11 seasons, he started 279 games, won 121 games, struck out 877 batters, and had a 3.86 ERA. Born on February 17, 1905 in Spokane, WA, Brandt stood 6' 1" and weighed 190 lb. He attended Lewis & Clark (Spokane, WA) (All Transactions) high school.
